From Reno to Spillian (with a few years in-between), it’s Revenge of the Harp Showgirls…not a simulation or re-creation, but an actual live performance proving once and for all that the harp isn’t just for classical orchestras and fancy hotel lobbies!
West Coast Harpist Laurie Rasmussen joins Spillian Co-Founder & Harpist Leigh Melander as they continue to work through PTSD issues from their short lived but intensely remembered time as members of the cast for the international hit Irish dance show, Spirit of the Dance. Some recollections and anecdotes, some unexpected harp treats, and, of course, the obligatory “Danny Boy” singalong. Prepare to be a backing track!
Hors d'oeuvres pre-set and dinner afterwards by Spillian Chef Chris McGee, salon-style around the big Spillian feasting table.
6 PM Cash bar/hors d'oeuvres
7:00 or so, harp music and madness from the harp showgirls
