Bud Sife, an 85-year-old who lives in the hamlet of Fleischmanns in Delaware County, sent us these photos of the contents of his flooded-out basement, which finally got hauled out and cleaned up this past weekend, thanks to the help of 25 volunteers.
Well, half of the basement, anyway. Sife, who is an avid collector of things ranging from bicycles to junk metal to woodworking equipment, says that all this stuff was only half of the contents of his basement. The other half gets cleaned out next weekend. Then, Sife reports, he can start on the two storefronts, loft, and garage he has yet to tackle.
