After a two year hiatus, Catskill Theatre Works, Inc. returns to the stage with “Connections and Misconnections”, a program of live theater featuring four short comedies about love, marriage, baseball and even … aliens! Kevin Murray and John Willis perform in Victor L. Cahn’s “Bottom of the Ninth”, a touching one act play about two elderly gentlemen from very different walks of life who find common ground in the game of baseball. Ben and Diana Friedell do double duty in Jay D. Hanagan’s “Fancy Meeting You Here”, and “Post-Its (Notes on a Marriage)” by Paul Dooley and Winnie Holzman. The former deals humorously with the angst associated with meeting new people and forging new relationships, the latter with the ups and downs of lifetime commitments. Jay D. Hanagan’s zany comedy about extraterrestrials, “Extra Curricular Activity,” features Al and Kathryn Davino.
The program will be presented in three locations: 7:30PM, April 20, at the First Presbyterian Church, 296 Main Street, Oneonta; 3:00PM, May 5, at the West Kortright Centre; 7:30PM, June 1, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Main Street, Delhi. Admission charged at the door is $10 for adults, $8 for students and Senior Citizens (age 60 and up).
