On Memorial Day weekend, our 2014 Catskills Outdoor Guide hit the streets! We went through about 2,000 copies in 24 hours, and are waiting on the rest of our 20,000 print run to be delivered this week. They're going like hotcakes.
This year's edition of our print guide to outdoor recreation in the Catskills is our most comprehensive yet, and has some new bells and whistles, including a pull-out map of the Catskills and a list of 20 great Catskills hikes that you can fold up and take with you on your travels.
The magazine also covers professional guides, ice climbing, new Catskills trails, paddling, cycling, boating, tubing, horseback riding, hunting, fishing, outdoor weddings, Catskills steam-cleaners, and the ins and outs of paddling on the NYC DEP's reservoirs.
We've also designed exclusive embroidered badges to be earned by enterprising outdoorsfolk like you. Earn the Catskill Reservoir Paddler badge or the Catskill Fire Towers badge and be the envy of all your friends. (More details on those badges here.)
To get ahold of the print version of the guide, and the print-only pull-out map, check out our updated list of distribution locations. We'll be adding a bunch more soon.
For the first time ever, you can also buy a downloadable digital version of the guide to your computer, iPhone, or Android device. Click here to buy it from Scribd, or go to the bottom of this post. All proceeds go straight to helping us produce more guides like these.
Finally, you can read new outdoor articles and events and see online versions of some of the print guide's articles in our spiffy new online "Outdoor" section. We owe a great big thank-you to all our advertisers and collaborators that are listed there. Make sure to give them your business.
And thanks to you, dear reader, for reading. Get out there!
