This just in from the Delaware County Sheriff's Office: 36-year-old Amanda Reichert was arrested on Sunday in Delhi for assaulting her boyfriend, David Doig, with an aluminum baseball bat. Doig sustained an injury to the head. The full press release is below:
On May 15, 2011 as a result of a domestic incident, 36 year old Downsville native, Amanda P. Reichert was arrested by Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies on charges of Assault in the second degree and Criminal Mischief in the second degree.
On May 14, 2011 Reicht is alleged to have assaulted her boyfriend, David J. Doig with an aluminum baseball bat by striking him on the head. Reichert continued action and began striking and damaging Doig’s Peterbilt tractor which was located on their property.
Doig was treated at Delaware Valley Hospital for an injury to his head and was later released. Reichert was arraigned at the Town of Delhi court for the charges filed against her. A temporary order of protection was issued at the time of the arraignment and Reichert was then released to a third party member.
Reichert is scheduled to appear before the Town of Delhi Court on May 18, 2011 at 9:00 AM where there will be a felony hearing held.
