The Delaware County Sheriff's Office is reporting that justice was swift when an angry 22-year-old started ripping down Memorial Day flags in Grand Gorge on Saturday.
According to a press release, Robert J. Giordano was spotted systematically throwing the American flags lining Main Street Grande Gorge into the street. After Giordano reportedly became belligerent when he was asked to stop, he was arrested.

On 5/28/11 Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Robert J. Giordano, 22, Grand Gorge, for Criminal Mischief, Resisting Arrest, and Disorderly Conduct. Deputies assisted Roxbury Town Constable in arresting Giordano. The charges stem from a complaint that Giordano was taking the flags that were lined along Main St. in Grand Gorge and throwing them into the street. When Deputies approached Giordano, he became very loud, obnoxious, and refused any instructions given to him. Giordano was arraigned in Roxbury Town Court and sent to the Delaware County Jail on 2000.00 cash 4000.00 bond. He is to reappear at a later date.
