Can Rte. 17 get any scarier?

According to a press release, Georgia Paradiso managed to drive east in the westbound lanes of the highway from exit 104 to exit 111, where she was pulled over after someone called 911.

Regular readers of the Watershed Post know that Rte. 17 is dangerous not only for wrong-way drivers but for egregious speeders as well. Be careful out there.

On June 7th State Police Wurtsboro responded to a 911 poll for a vehicle driving east in the westbound lanes of ST-17.  Georgia D Paradiso, 77, of Warwick NY entered ST-17 at exit 104 traveling east in the westbound lane of ST-17 until she was stopped by Troopers near exit 111.   Paradiso was arrested for DWI and processed at SP Wurtsboro where her BAC was determined to be .13%.   Paradiso was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Mamakating Court.
