Jennifer Kabat, who just started a new blog about Plattekill Mountain and winter life in the Catskills, finds a scrap of a Harlequin romance novel embedded in the snow on the Upper Face and traces the clue back to its source:
So how does a book get shredded on the hill? I know a tuned ski can be sharp but really. Did someone take to reading on the chairlift or was Macker reading a romance novel as he drove the groomer? No. Blame a Norwegian. Or Norwegians, or a music video producer named Alon Simcha.
Norwegians? Music videos? Romance in the snow? Anything can happen up here. Check out the link to her blog for the whole story.
