Christopher Palmatier, from the Otsego County town of Worcester, has been arrested by the Schoharie County Sheriff's Office for allegedly raping an underage girl.
According to a press release from the Schoharie County Sheriff's Office, which you can read in full below, Palmatier has reportedly had an ongoing relationship with the girl for a year. Last month, multiple police departments began investigating the relationship, leading to charges in both Schoharie County and the town of Cobleskill. Palmatier is being held in the Schoharie County Correctional Facility on bail while being shuttled between multiple court appearances this week.
