Sunny skies and moderate temperatures prevailed at Thursday's Golf Tournament organized by the Margaretville Health Foundation. Teams arrived for a 9:30am Shotgun start at the College Golf Course in Delhi and were greeted to an early morning Continental breakfast and camaraderie among golfers. Complimentary snacks and beverages, delivered to golfers on course, kept all energized throughout the morning and was followed by an outdoor barbecue lunch. In an initiative to support our local youth, the Foundation was pleased this year to sponsor four graduate students from Margaretville Central School to join us on the course. The MCS team of players, Cooper Reither, Matt Van Valkenberg, Eric Mathiesen, and Dylan Schaffer took second prize narrowly losing to first prize winning team led by Mark Birman, with Henry Birman, Tom Mirabella, and Lance Levings, a group of golfers who have supported the Margaretville Health Foundation by several years of participation in the Golf Tournament. Congratulations to the winners, and a resounding Thank You to the participating golfers, sponsors and supporters. The funds raised by this event makes our surrounding Central Catskill communities all winners in the goal of sustaining strong healthcare for our residents and visitors alike.
