After a four-month investigation, a 30-year-old Deposit man was arrested on Friday, Oct. 3 and charged with dealing heroin, according to a press release from the Delaware County Sheriff's Office.

Branden L. Loori's home on Elm St. in the Delaware County village of Deposit was raided by investigators from two counties on Friday: deputies and a drug-sniffing dog from the Delaware County Sheriff's Office and deputies from the Broome County Special Investigation Unit Task Force.

They reportedly found 60 bags of heroin along with Suboxone sublingual films (a prescription opiate), a bag of marijuana, several syringes, and over $1000 cash. Investigators said in the press release that "numerous anonymous tips" had pointed them toward Loori.

Loori was charged with felony sale of a controlled substance and possession with intent to sell of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and of a hypodermic instrument, and a marijuana possession violation. He was arraigned in the Town of Delhi Court and is being held in the Delaware County Correctional Facility on a $100,000 cash bail or a $200,000 bail bond.

This is not Loori's first arrest on charged of drug dealing. He was convicted of a felony drug possession charge four years ago, in Delaware County in 2010, according to the press release.
