As if torrential rains and a flooded-out downtown on Friday weren't bad enough: Huntersland Road in Middleburgh is shut down until further notice, after a mudslide in the wee hours of Sunday morning forced the closure of the road.
YNN reports that the road -- an important route for local traffic and county vehicles -- is expected to be out of commission for at least the next few days.
Information on the extent of the damage and the timeframe for repairs was not immediately available on Monday, as Schoharie County Department of Public Works commissioner Dan Crandell was working at the site with a crew of DPW employees and could not be reached.
