State police seized “several ounces” of marijuana on Saturday after responding to a custody issue on Sagendort Corners Road in Howes Cave, and sent a growing operation’s business up in smoke.
Robert S. Munson, a 30-year old Howes Cave resident, was arrested for criminal possession of marijuana in the fourth degree and unlawfully growing marijuana – both misdemeanors. Timmothy C. Haemmerle, a 30-year-old Middleburgh resident, was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana.
Senior Investigator William John said the police’s investigation is continuing because prior to the trooper’s arrival at the house, “several hundred plants were removed,” leaving only a few ounces to be discovered. According to a New York State Police press release, when troopers arrived to the house, two subjects were seen running towards a garage near the end of the property.
Additional charges are expected, John said.
Both Munson and Haemmerle were issued appearance tickets to appear in the town of Cobleskill Court.
