Dear Editor,
I am writing this letter in support of Rebecca Balzac, a candidate for the Onteora Board of Education. I have known Rebecca since 2005, when we moved our family up to this area full time. Rebecca and I first met at the Olive library where we brought our toddlers to the Tuesday morning reading hour. Our paths have crossed many a time over the past 7 years, mainly in support of our children at various town and school functions be it music, Friday night family events at Bennett, Olive Day or an afternoon at the Davis Park pool. Rebecca is an involved, supportive parent who cares about the community and the
school district. Rebecca has attended many Bennett PTA and BOE meetings. Her comments are well thought out, insightful, considerate, fair and straightforward. With her law degree and community and school involvement, I think she would make a wonderful and much needed addition to the Onteora BOE.
