20-year-old Colchester resident Matthew Mattice was arrested last Friday, on charges of sexually assaulting a child. A press release just issued by the Delaware County Sheriff's Office:
On Friday, July 8, 2011 Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Matthew A. Mattice age 20, of Colchester and charged him with:
one count of Criminal Sexual Act in the first degree a class B felony and one count of Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child a class A-II felony.
It is alleged that Mattice engaged in deviant sexual acts with a child less than eleven years old.
Mattice was arraigned before the Town of Colchester Court and remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility on $50,000.00 cash bail.
The investigation into this and other alleged incidents is continuing at this time and additional charges may be pending.
