Spillian Sundays: Voices from the Catskills
Soup. Song. Story. Salon.
Spillian continues celebrating Voices from the Catskills every other Sunday through the end of March, with a special added Sunday in April with world-acclaimed musician and humorist Peter Schickele, featuring one-set music/spoken word performance beginning at 4 pm, and rolling into our traditional Soup Sunday salons afterwards. It’s Spillian’s take on the acoustic music and stories, both historic and contemporary, rooted in the Catskills.
Our soup dinners are prix fixe, all-you-can-eat hearty (think meal!) soup, salad, bread, a sweet treat for dessert, and tea or coffee. Cash bar is open with some great drink specials.
Performance Begins Around 4 PM
Dinner around 5:30
Roundtable and Meal: $25
Reservations, please.
We’d really love to know for sure if you’re coming! Please RSVP at 800-811-3351 or play-at-spillian.com

Upcoming Spillian Sundays: Voices from the Catkills events
March 15: Eric Rosen and Friends
Hidden Catskills jazz gem Eric Rosen will be joined by friends as they share an afternoon of hot jazz. New York Times writer John S. Wilson called Rosen “a strong soloist, with a soaring aggressive attack, filled with sudden and exhilarating sweeps and runs.”
March 29: The Tremperskill Boys
Zestful, hard driving, foot tapping, and energetic, making sitting difficult and square and contra dancers happy. They admit to being neither all strings nor all boys, but they are the beloved “big band” of old time music in the region.
April 26: SPECIAL GUEST Peter Schickele!
Stay tuned for more details on a very special guest performance by the world-famous creator of P.D.Q. Bach, Peter Schickele!
