Highland, NY – August 11, 2014 – On August 6, 175 people assembled at Apple Greens Golf Course in Highland for the 14th Annual HealthAlliance Foundation and Capital District Physician’s Health Plan (CDPHP) Golf Classic. The tournament, held each year to support the healthcare programs and services of HealthAlliance Hospitals, raised over $53,000.
Forty-one teams competed for the title of tournament champions, which went to the team from the Reis Group—Paul Casciaro, Mark Burns, Mike Groppuso and Ty Krop—with a score of 19 under par. In second place were David Gill, Jeff Kruger, Richard Moscowitz and Steve Perillo from Mid Hudson Medical Group while third place went to the Lightower Fiber Network team.
Throughout the day, golfers had the opportunity to compete in contests including longest drive, closet to the pin, a hole-in-one for $10,000 (sponsored by the Reis Group) and a hole-in-one for a car (sponsored by Romeo Chevrolet-Buick-GMC).
“It was a great day for golf, on a beautiful course,” said Steffen Kraehmer, executive director of the HealthAlliance Foundation. “Everyone enjoyed themselves and we raised valuable funds for HealthAlliance.
