Painter and sculptor Joseph Kurhajec has studios in Paris and Merida, Mexico and has maintained a summer base at the Treadwell Museum of Fine Art in Treadwell, N.Y. since 1971. Kurhajec's extensive career includes exhibitions at Allan Stone Gallery and the Whitney and Guggenheim museums in New York City. Art critic Edward Bryant called Joseph Kurhajec “a wild and generous artist, the creator of formidable, declarative sculptures which bite sharply into our fin de siècle complacency.”
