Don't Miss the Andes Library Garden Tour this Weekend - Come see my garden!

This is a great weekend to get out and see some gardens!  The weather should be in the high 70's; the rain won't happen to the evening (if at all) and there are at least 2 garden tours happening in the area.

On Saturday, 6/28/14 from 11:00 to 4:00 you can tour some diverse and spectacular gardens in the Andes area.  Of course, it is an opportunity to see my garden depicted as of this morning in the images below.  There are some other gardens that are not to be missed as well, including a grand garden with amazing stone work, terraced ponds and incredible collection of trees, shrubs and perennials in a beautifully designed layout that goes on and on.  There are Italianate vegetable gardens, rustic cottage gardens, old country style gardens and even a permaculture focused spread to see.  In many cases that gardeners will be there willing to share information and stories about their labors of love.  So register and get a tour map at the Andes Library on Main Street, support the library and enjoy the glorious day in Andes.  I wish I could go see the other gardens :( but I will be at my house schmoozing with the visitors and answering questions :).

On Sunday, 6/29/14, the annual West Kortwright Garden Tour is taking in place and this year it is going feature gardens in the Jefferson/South Worcester area.  I don't know all of the gardens on this tour but a little birdie told me about a couple that I know are "off the hook".  As with the Andes tour the particapting gardens are not announced so you don't really know what you are going to see until you pick up your map the morning of the tour.  I never miss the WKC tour; it is always a treat!  Maybe I will see you there.
