Winter Design - 10% Off from December 1st 2013 Through March 1st 2014

Winter is a great time to think about next year's landscape plan. The garden sleeps; nothing needs to be done except ponder last year's triumphs and also, last year's disappointments. Winter is a time to think and to plan. To dream of next year's floral abundance.

This winter season, Karin Ursula Landscapes is offering 10% off the usual fee for a fully realized, to scale Landscape Plan with detailed Plant List now through March 1st of 2014.

A Landscape Plan is essential to building a coherent garden or landscape. It provides a blueprint for phases and for future plans. The process involves client participation and during the design process,  the vision evolves from a just a notion to a clear and precise plan of action.

The process begins with a Design Consulation, essentially a client meeting where we walk the landscape, I take a quick landscape inventory and listen to the client's desires and needs. I ask questions about lifestyle and land use requirements and any special considerations for family members from children and pets to aging parents. Within a week I prepare a Landscape Statement which recaps my client meeting, lists priorities and also gives my general impression of the possible landscape design points such as color palette, plant selection and spatial uses.If the client enjoys my intial suggestions, we move to the design plase, formalize our agreement and I return to take measurements of perimeter, architecture, exisitng plant materials and other physical aspects of the landscape and conduct an in-depth Site Inventory and Analysis which, along with the client's program requirements , my own research and inspirations synthesize to create a fully -realized, hand-drafted and to-scale Landscape Plan with complete Plant List and any other necessary supplemental drawings. This concludes the design phase. Next phase is Estimating and Installation commencing in spring or phased as necessary. The design fee includes all estimating.
