This workshop is presented by Family Resource Network in collaboration with the STAR (Sharing Tools and Resources) Group, a support group for parents with children with disabilities. The training will focus on the variety of ways you can utilize assistive technology in the form of "apps". Apps, can be very beneficial for children with special needs. From communication support to reinforcing social skills and learning, we will look at the different ways you can utilize applications to support your child's education in and out of school. If your child uses a tablet device at home or school this workshop will introduce you to some new (free) apps to incorporate.
