With over sixty vendors purveying information and merchandise related to gardening and food, the Margaretville gardenFest2012 will also include live music, workshops, it’s own food court and hands-on activities for kids. The event takes place on Main Street Margaretville from 10:00 to 3:00 pm this Saturday. Admission is free.
There will be a petting zoo all day and a music stage in the NBT Bank parking lot which will feature performances by local favorites Laurie and Ira McIntosh (Story Laurie) at 11:00 AM and 1:00PM, and the Catskill Mountain Boys at noon and 2:00 PM. Other free activities include face painting by Karina Marvelina, bird house making with the Catskill Mountain Artisans’ Guild, a seed exchange at the Andes Sprouts Society booth, and a reading of Paddington Bear in the Garden by the Fairview Public Library at 12:30pm.
