Auditions will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Saugerties Ballet Center, 10 First Street, Saugerties, New York, for the Ulster Ballet Company’s upcoming production of “A Christmas Carol” on December 3-6, 2015 at UPAC in Kingston, New York. Those auditioning must be at least 8 years old through adulthood, with movement ability. A $20 audition fee per family is required, payable in advance, or on audition day, in cash or check, made out to: ULSTER BALLET COMPANY.
Parts are available for men and boys that require little or no dance experience, although stage presence and ability to move with ease are necessary. Dancers auditioning are required to have achieved a high level of dance training. Be prepared for rehearsals to begin the weekend of October 3rd/4th at the Saugerties Ballet Center, and every weekend following until Tech Week, which is the first week in December. Attendance at all rehearsals, including those during Tech Week is mandatory.
Performances begin with a school show on Thursday, December 3rd at 10 a.m. (snow date Friday, December 4th). Public performances are on Friday, December 4th at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, December 5th at 4:00 p.m., and Sunday, December 6th at 2 p.m.
