Actors of all ages - male and female - are needed for a new adaptation of the popular Charles Dickens story "A Christmas Carol" at The Open Eye Theater. Tania Myren has adapted the holiday favorite, and will direct the show. Characters include Marley, Bob Cratchit, Mrs. Cratchit, Fredericka, Belle, Martha, Spirits Past, Present and Future, Tiny Tim (or Tina), and of course, Ebenezer Scrooge, among others. There are townspeople (adult and children) and corolers who appear throughout.
Also needed are volunteers for the stage management and costume teams.
Auditions are Saturday, November 5, at 2, at The Open Eye Theater, 960 Main Street, Margaretville. Actors of all levels of experience - or no experience at all - are welcomed. There are speaking roles and non-speaking roles. Families are encouraged to audition together. There will be scenes from the script to read.
Rehearsals will take place in the early evenings and on weekends beginning November 28. Perforemances are December 16, 17, 18, and possibly 23 and 30, at The Open Eye Theater in Margaretville.
