Folk Alliance International’s 2015 Artist of the Year!
Darlingside uses inventive instrumentation, soaring harmonies, and a fusion of 60s folk, bluegrass, classical, and modern indie-rock sensibilities to create cinematic soundscapes and surreal dream spaces. The group’s exceptional songwriting, exquisite arrangements, wry (often literary) wit, and skillful vocal interplay yield quietly passionate songs with a folk rock groove. Their sound is successfully both retro and contemporary, with layers of textural experimentation and sunny melancholy.
