Now in its fourth year, the pre-Valentine's Day Heart of the Catskills Humane Society Fundraiser is set to take place Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 11am - 2pm.
Hosted by Crazy River Cafe, highlights of the free afternoon event include music, magic and give-aways. New to this year's event are the traditional Irish tunes of duo Eight Pints Over and local singer/songwriter Geoff Samuels. Headlining for the 4th year in a row is local country artist Ben Rounds. Chee Chee the Clown will also be making a repeat appearance. All artists are donating their time.
In the spirit of supporting community and promoting local arts and business, donations of all shapes and sizes are welcome. In particular, the event is looking to reach the Delhi, Andes, Roxbury, Margaretville, Arkville, Fleischmanns, Pine Hill and Phoenicia areas.
Donations are not limited to but include: gift baskets, gift certificates or signed artwork. These can be dropped off at Crazy River Cafe until Saturday, February 11. Or email Rebecca Andre at moonflowerra@gmail.com for more details.
We encourage all families to attend the festivities. The heart-warming atmosphere provided by Char Roberts and her employees (whom will also be working for free that day) is a hallmark of Catskill communities.
Tight on funds but still want to help our furry friends? Here is a list of basic needs of the shelter, being collected at Crazy River Cafe now and of course accepted the day of the event.
