A 21 year-old Saugerties woman was arrested for rape last Thursday after allegedly engaging in sexual intercourse with a 12-year-old boy, according to a New York State Police press release.
After an investigation by the Ulster County Family Violence Investigation Unit, Sarah E. Boucher was arrested for rape in the first degree and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Boucher was arraigned in the Ulster Justice Court and sent to the Ulster County Jail on $10,000 cash bail or a $20,000 bond. Boucher is scheduled to appear in the town of Ulster Court at 1 p.m. tomorrow.
Members of the New York State Police, Ulster County Sheriff’s Office, the town of Ulster Police and Ulster County Child Protective Services all assisted in the Ulster County Family Violence Unit’s investigation.
