Police: Bloomingburg man fled two-car accident

After hitting another car on Route 42 in Sullivan County, a 20-year-old Bloomingburg man fled the scene before being found by police, according to a press release from the New York State Police.

Michael G. Partridge crashed into a 2003 Cadillac CTS near exit 105 in the town of Thompson, after which he fled into a wooded area adjacent to the highway, police said.

State police found an intoxicated Partridge “in the vicinity of Walmart” in Monticello, police said. Partridge was charged with violating Leandra’s Law, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, unlawful possession of marijuana, and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.

The three people injured in the crash were sent to Catskill Regional Medical center with non-life threatening injuries.

No arraignment information is available at this time as the investigation is continuing, police said.
