A New Jersey man died in a one-car accident on Route 206 in the Delaware County town of Colchester on Sunday afternoon. County sheriff's deputies identified the man as 53-year-old George Swan, of Ridgewood, New Jersey.
The accident was investigated by sheriff's deputies around 4:30pm on Sunday, and Swan was pronounced dead on the scene by county medical examiner Richard Ucci. According to a news release, it appeared that Swan drifted off the right-hand side of the road and struck an unoccupied semi-trailer parked in a pull-off.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
Ridgewood-Glen Rock Patch, a local news website, writes that Swan leaves behind his wife, four children and a son-in-law.
