We did a special hour-long news segment today on WIOX in Roxbury, which has been broadcasting via livestream while their transmitter has been down. The segment has also been picked up by several other local radio stations, including WGXC in Catskill and Thunder 102.1.
By a tremendous stroke of luck, the Watershed Post's Julia Reischel arrived at WIOX studios seconds before air time at 1pm. Julia had been out on an ATV tour of the more remote parts of Shandaken, where people are still stranded in their homes, and she briefed us on the situation there. By another tremendous stroke of luck, we happened to be speaking with Margaretville fire chief Gene Rosa while Gov. Andrew Cuomo was standing on Main Street, and we managed to get the Governor on the phone to the station.
