The Mountain Eagle has the depressing story:
Members of the Greater Stamford Area Chamber of Commerce learned there would be no ‘Music on the Mountain’ event this summer and heard a presentation by Kees Trappenburg about the Junior Golf Program at the Stamford Golf Club last Thursday.
According to Velga Kundzins-Tan, GSACC vice president, Music on the Mountain slated for July 17, will not take place this year due to lack of funding.
“We can’t put the chamber at risk,” said Kundzins-Tan.
If that isn't sad enough, there's also a chance that there might not be enough money for fireworks this summer, either.
