Finally, Hobart's Coffee Pot re-opens

It took over six months, but the Hobart diner that burned down last winter opened for business again last weekend, according to the Mountain Eagle

Despite the devastation, the reopened Coffee Pot looks exactly the same as it did before the fire, right down to the smallest details and decorations.

Owner Geri Williams and waitress Mary Moynahan hustled to take orders from a packed house on Saturday, which Mike Williams somehow was able to keep up with at the grill. He worked with the ease of a man who never lost his stride after several months of closure.

This is good, not only because you can once again grab on omelette on this stretch of Rte. 10 in Delaware County, but also because it hopefully means that the spiderman effigy which was haunting the structure during construction will be retired. We came across it last month looking uncomfortably as if it was being lynched
